RE: problem starting http admin instance

Under  CFGTCP option 12 do you have valid host and domain names setup
along with an entry in the host table for that domain.host

I have been tinkering with the http sbs on a spare machine and
attempting to 
get the admin instance to start is proving a pain in the rear.

I verified that it is not running by checking 

WRKACTJOB SBS(QHTTPSVR) 

I then attempted to start it with 

STRTCPSVR *HTTP HTTPSVR(*ADMIN) 

In the QSYSOPR MSG file I get the following: 

HTTP Server instance ADMIN failed.

I tried to check the job log but since the job has already ended I
cannot 
seem to find anything.

Suggestions or hints on where to go from here?



If you bought, it was hauled by a truck - somewhere, sometime.
