The Backup and Recovery Guide, V5R3, Chapter 14 Release to Release Support provides a checklist under the section Previous Release-to-Current Release Support. It starts with the scratch install. However, if you can order the 520 using the FC 0205 the 520 will be only have LIC and base OS/400 installed and you could start the checklist at step 27. We use this checklist all the time for our RISC to RISC migration and it works well. If your are ordering one of the 520 Express configurations, then ordering FC 0205 is not an option. They are automatically ordered with FC 5000 so they come with all OS/400 features and LPPs installed. You have to perform the scratch install to get back to just LIC and base OS/400 which is where the checklist begins. ---------------------- Scott Scott A.
