I've always had to "prepare" the file ahead of time with an RPG program
that looks for quotes and apostrophes in various fields and replace them
with blanks. I recall some discussion in the archives regarding someone
dealing with a 15" pizza. You can guess that I missed lunch today... :-))

Subject: String and field delimeters when doing a CPYTOIMPF

I'm doing the following:

CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(GRIZLIB/ALLSCRAP) TOSTMF('\TEMPFIL.CSV')
STMFCODPAG(*PCASCII) RCDDLM(*CRLF) STRDLM('"') FLDDLM(',')

The copy works fine except when the information in the "from file"
contains quotation marks or commas, which happens quite often. Is there
anyway to ignore the delimiter values when they are found in the "from
file"?
