As Rob mentioned on the other list. The multi-machine access is often driven by the availability of an application on another platform. In addition, it is often driven by the legacy of iSeries folks not being able to get something done quick enough and/or with a nice pretty GUI and the PC folks being able to whip "something" out in a few days. No need to go into how bad that legacy is Joe. Believe me I know. But I've only been here 18 months. I'm trying to change it, but it is difficult when "green screen AS-400" is so deeply embedded in both the iSeries folks, management, and users. Particularly when the home-grown green screen application quality and functionality leave a bad taste in the mouth.
