Bear in mind that environment variables is not an absolute test as the same environment variable could be created with the ADDENVVAR command.

Both 5250 and WSG have exactly the same environment variables

ICU_DATA


There is no REMOTE_ADDR. But both 5250 (client access) and WSG use the same IP.



Likewise different server software packages will vary in what environment variables they load for you automatically.
