Just my theory, but I feel strongly feel that the move away from the
iSeries has been prompted in large part by the 30-something MBA's who are
now sitting in the decision making seats. They've been drinking the M$
kool-aid their entire careers, and don't really care about the benefits of
the iSeries. This is the case at the client I mentioned. IBM offered at
COMMON to contact people at "sites at risk", so I took them up on the offer
and provided the name and number of one of the decision makers. I have not
heard back yet as to the results. I'll keep you posted.
