I have been having problems w/ a remote printer, that actually goes through a 
third party warehouse. The spool will stay in "SND" status. I tell the manager 
there to reset everything then I END the writer, restart. Often nothing 
happens, but then I remember to see if I can PING, and then it prints again. 
Does the PING so something?
