Nope. I use (see) them in RPG and Query/400 all the time. There is nothing
special about the DATA TYPE used for the identity column; there are just
more attributes defining how the data type is used.

I am pretty sure RPG cannot see SQL created identity columns.  In other
words, you would have to stick with SQL access.
