I searched the Knowledge Base and found an interesting article: 
search on "respins" (i guess thats a technical term...)
These are "resaves" of certain cds shipped with the OS. They started 
at level RSA, then RSB, RSC, and now RSD. 
Article does say having a cume updates same info. 
So what IBM has done is give customers (all or some?) updated copies of 
certain install cds.
