I do as well utilizing Brad Stones SPL2STMF tool that comes with SPLTOOL. Thanks, Mark Mark D. Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@midra nge.com> I'd have to disagree. I routinely do PDF of spool files in the 800 page range. Interesting, because of the PDF compression capabilities, the PDF version is less than 1MB while the text version is 4.2MB. Additionally, since the program that does the report is old, the text version of it contains double printing (where the original writer wanted the text to be bold,) whereas the PDF doesn't have that problem. I use Ariadne Software's CoolSpools tool to create my PDFs. http://www.ariadnesoftware.com/ Charles Wilt iSeries Systems Administrator / Developer Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America ph: 513-573-4343 fax: 513-398-1121 > -----Original Message----- > From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of > ron_adams@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Thursday, April 14, 2005 3:28 PM > To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion > Subject: RE: PDF Limitations? > > > For regular spool files, I will usually specify the output to > TXT format, > especially if they are large.
