FYI - When our company automated some file export processes, we chose to use 'jar' as in the following CL snippet. QSH CMD('cd /tmp ; jar -cfM /home/target.zip /home/src1.txt /home/src2.txt') One of our customers began reporting problems. Research showed that 'jar' populates a bit in the ZIP file's header called the 'extended local header' attribute that caused the .dll in their import process to fail. The problem was on their end and is now resolved, but for me, it sure reinforced the lesson that you should never assume one *nix or PC-style product is 100% compatable with another <grin>!
