I sent out an email last week requesting info on Ethernet printing. The list was great with their responses. Particular thanks to Jim Franz for his link to the printer doc and Charles Wilt for his printing hierarchy list. We decided to go with the SNMP methodology. We are using IBM 6400 printers. Granted, we do not have the same control as twinax printers but we do have some indication if the printer has an issue. We are still early in our testing but preliminary results look good. I would appreciate any other comments or suggestions before we roll these out to our users.
