Hi Colin,

I dont think the problem is with db2 on the PC. I downloaded the
trial version and it checks out ok on the PC. It was able to create a
database and connect to it.

It is when I use the "test connection" option to connect to the as400
database that I am getting the error. I have checked every joblog of
every job running on the system and do not see any messages such as
"not licensed".

I have checked all the steps outlined in this document:
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/db2/pdf/db2connect.pdf

I have a license to 5722ss1 v5r1 5050. Client access works to the
system. The WrkRdbDire command checks out. netstat shows drda is
listening.

SQL8002N - a valid product license was not found.

thanks,

-Steve
