Sending email to Mail server that requires Authentication -- MIDRANGE-L

Is it possible to send email from an iSeries if the SMTP Mail Server
requires Authentication?

If yes, what do I need to do differently then when the Mail server does not
require Authentication?

 

We are currently using SNDDST to send the email but will be replacing this
at some time in the near future (I hope)
