Customer is installing a new v5r3 box. My part of the process is to port all existing software, user ids, etc, and to set up a nightly "copy the changed data from the new box to the old" process.

They've noticed these LPPs, and are asking me what they are. I found some of them by googling for them at site:ibm.com, but I didn't learn anything that way. Can anyone here clue me in as to what these are, do they run on the PC or the 400? Are they additional charge?

So far as I know, they do no in-house programming (neither green-screen nor GUI), they do have a web site running on their 400 (I don't know whether it accesses 400's DBs or not), and they run their email server on their 400.

Thanks

Tom
