Hi Guys, I just spent over a week working with ibm support trying to get tomcat to start on my 810. Falling farther and farther behind each day. I finally gave up under deadline pressure and spent about 45 minutes getting it running on a linux box and finished the project - sadly without iSeries involvement other than as a DB server. I admit inexperience in this realm, but it wasn't too tough on the linux box and it would be even easier on Windoze. I was mortified that it worked out that way - I'll probably revisit it when I have more time... :( Regards Rick From: whiterabbit1 I'm not meaning to knock RPG or Java. I'm just saying .net has that "...mmmm shiny thing" effect. To be honest though, I don't thing Websphere sets up quite as easily as a .net environment because if it did global services couldn't spend months on site at $$$/hr. -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
