David's going to kill this thread quick.  PCTECH perhaps?

Hey, if they just have to secure them, you're not limited to one machine 
if that machine dies.  Move the software and the dongle to another. 
Providing newer computers have that kind of port attachment and that 
everything isn't USB now.
Downside, if that office burns there goes your dongle.  Plan accordingly.

The benefit of the iSeries is that IBM's software can give you a 70 day 
grace period on new hardware for just such an emergency.  Third party 
software often isn't so forgiving.

Software dongles used to be more popular than they are now. I haven't
seen them much in the past few years. If it's set up right and in a
stable environment, it works ok. It's a drag if you want to install the
S/W on multiple machines, but that's what the dongle is attempting to
prohibit.
