I think you can download a couple different varieties of ftp versions of SAVRST... However, if it is the restore that fails you have to decide how to handle it. Some of the ones I've seen leave the save file out there until you rectify the restore. I think that's ideal. Avoids that comm lag. I did find that when i cancelled the savrstlib, i only cancelled 1 machine & not process on the other. Did that & restarted again & worked. The ftp would have worked but taken more time to manage. SAVRSTLIB & SAVRSTOBJ are wonderful cmds in a network of as400's. No tape compatible with old to new machines. If you want the the newer 1/4 in cartridge drives, many older tapes cannot even be read. In this case old machine had 8mm & new was 1/4in. So whole upgrade was in pieces, with just data at final conversion (last night). jim ----- Original Message ----- From: <rob@xxxxxxxxx> To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, January 21, 2005 9:17 AM Subject: Re: savrstlib cancel > Jim, > > Could be an ALWOBJDIF parameter.
