I agree Ken and I can spend hours and volumes talking about what is 'cheaper', what is better, and TCO.....but I guess it's a dead horse and I'm preaching to the choir..... But, it would be cool to see the Laughing Boardroom series makes it's way to the television. They have Malcolm written all over it.....funny, makes the point, and differentiates the iSeries from the rest....... I'm seeing a lot of /400 drops , in favour of some cheaper server machines. That 'differentiating' is just not filtering through to the buying authorities, they're just looking at bottom line costs, rather than TCO It's a changing world out there, and if IBM's revenues from the ISeries are any indication, they're losing the battle.....notice I didn't say war <grin> Ken Shields PPG Canada Inc 155 First Ave. Oshawa, Ontario L1H 7L3 PH: 905 725 1144 (326) FAX: 905 433 8712 -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
