Buzz, That removed the trailing blanks? Or was that regarding the CCSID bs introduced with V5R3? Rob Berendt Rob, If you mean did using CPYTOSTMF remove the blanks, the answer is no. I probably shouldn't have posted what I did to solve the problem I was having at the time, which dealt more with CR/LF issues. I just wanted to drop that tidbit the IBM Support rep told me about how CPYTOIMPF works. As far as CCSIDs on V5R3 goes, I did not broach that subject with IBM (we're still at R2). Sorry if I've been misleading.
