John Brandt from iStudio400.com has been kind enough to post a zip file for
me that contains a simple CLP to download PTF's from IBM FTP server in
batch. You can go to the following link to download the zip file.
http://www.istudio400.com/chris_bipes.htm

You must unzip it and binary transfer the save file to a library on your
AS400. The save file is at V5R1M0, though created on V5R3M0. Once you have
the save file IPTF in a library on your AS400, you can restore the library
IPTF to your system. This library contains 2 objects, a source file with
three members and the compiled program object. The source file members are:
1.INPUT, the ftp commands to use, edit this per the instructions from IBM
2.OUTPUT, the results of your ftp session, (you should clear between
sessions)
3.IPTF , the CL program source.

After you have edited the INPUT member, just call IPTFC and it will self
submit to batch as job IPTF using the callers job description. No special
SBMJOB parameters changed except the call.

Also I have sent the save file to others and I will post their links when I
have them.

Good luck,

Christopher K. Bipes
