No you do not need to buy a second license of OS/400 to run another LPAR on the same machine. In fact you do not need extra licenses of other IBM LPP's. For example if you buy Query/400 it covers all partitions on the same box. I asked the question with the idea of backing up the AS/400 to this device at night, possibly duplicating over WAN/internet to another box, and spooling to tape during the day. The LPAR concept sounds good, although wouldn't I have to buy another license of OS/400 to do it? -- Tom Jedrzejewicz tomjedrz@xxxxxxxxx -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
