Mike, another backdoor that has saved my kiester from time to time is to start QINTER via the FTP server (assuming IT is still running). FTP to your AS400. After you logon, enter the following command QUOTE RCMD STRSBS QINTER. Has worked for me many times when I have been away from the office and unable to get to the console. cjg Carl J. Thr problem w/ that is if there is a problem w/ the backup, there is no way for the operator to do anything about it. We have the ACO pager that will alert messages, but then the job sits there until the morning. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? vote.yahoo.com - Register online to vote today! -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
