Hello Pete,

in such a case I use the "Java Web Start" application and set authentication
to be derived from my browser settings. This works for me with firefox 0.9.2.

The problem I have is with Proxy authentication (using version 0.9.3). I
get HTTP response 407 which basically says that the proxy requires
authentication. Even through the Firefox proxy setting are correct, and I
can easily surf with no problems, Java is a little different and the applet
is looking for a different way to authenticate. As I recall from an earlier
thread, the java applet authentication is still an issue with Firefox when a
proxy is involved.

When I am outside the proxy (ISA Server in my case) I have no problems with
the applet in the info center. Inside the proxy, I have to use IE.
