Hi Mike,

We have quite a few printers attached as remote outq's, and I'm curious
about your comment on the printer getting stuck due to the network.  To
date we've not had any problems with them relating to our network in the
sense of connectivity, so I'm not entirely sure what you mean.

Also, why not simply have the user submit the CL locally to stop/start
the writers as needed, instead of going through the trouble of email?  

I'm not familiar with your environment, so my apologies if you've
already ruled out that approach.
