I am less than impressed with the results of CPYSPLF. You'll lose blank lines, etc. And if you use any overlays or page segments - oy! Since this is strictly an interactive pick and choose application then I go back to suggesting the iSeries Navigator solution. At least give your management the choice. You don't have to drill down through all of iSeries Navigator - you can create shortcuts. Press Enter to go to SCREEN 2. (SCREEN 2) - A screen similar to the WRKSPLF screen appears with extra options(email & fax). The outq's that management doesn't want users to see will not be displayed. User selects a spool file that they would like to email and presses Enter to go to SCREEN 3. (SCREEN 3) - User enters in the email address's, email subject, & email body and presses enter to call CLPGM1. (CLPGM1) - SBMJOB CMD(CALL CLPGM2) USER(user-profile-setup-in-distribution-directory) (CLPGM2) - Receives parms needed to send the email. Attempts to go through the steps of emailing a spool file using SNDDST, but chokes on authority issues when trying to use CPYSPLF. I'm looking for a solution to get around the authority issue ONLY while the program is running. Any help is appreciated. If this is an interactive thing, use iSeries Navigator V5R3, select the spool file and use the option to convert to PDF and then email it. If this is a CL command to email a copy of it and it's called from the job that generated the spool file, like EMAILSPLF FILE(QSYSPRT) JOB(*) SPLNBR(*LAST) Then the job generating the spool file should have access to it. How were you planning on using this?
