How are you determining what spool file to send?

If this is an interactive thing, use iSeries Navigator V5R3, select the 
spool file and use the option to convert to PDF and then email it.

If this is a CL command to email a copy of it and it's called from the job 
that generated the spool file, like
EMAILSPLF FILE(QSYSPRT) JOB(*) SPLNBR(*LAST)
Then the job generating the spool file should have access to it.
