When I say My Mail Server, I mean the mail Server that our company uses, which is our ISP provider. We do not have our own in-house mail server at this time. I did change Host name search priority from *REMOTE to *LOCAL and this fixed the problem. I can't say that I know why exactly which bugs me, I like to know why. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces+rallen=drvtech.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces+rallen=drvtech.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Sean Porterfield Sent: Wednesday, September 15, 2004 1:47 PM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: SNDDST problem emailing internally Richard wrote: > When I tested using TELNET to my mail server I did use Port 25 when I got > the error message "sosrv35.xxxx.xxxx.ops.us.uu.net ESMTP not accepting > messages" When you say "my mail server" do you mean a mail server that you (or your company) control? Does your AS/400 traffic go through the same router as your email? (In other words, it's also on the Comcast line that you are using?) I wouldn't allow my email server to get mail from your IP address either. You probably just need to set the mail router parameter to a valid mail server that will relay for you. -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
