We have an 820 that we are trying to get a maintenance contract on. IBM is 
giving us weird pricing as far as I am concerned. It has a feature code 23A4 
installed. IBM gave a quote of $12,000 for 3 year prepaid maintenance.

We asked if our 3570 tape system was included, IBM said NO. New quote, 3 years 
prepaid $24,000. Is the 3570 tape drive that bad that it requires that amount 
for maintenance.

In generalities, what are you paying for maintenance on an 820 with a 3570 tape 
drive?
