Slightly altering unload/reload

Normally I religiously preach that when doing an unload/reload from one 
hardware to another one should follow Appendix D of the Backup and 
Recovery Manual.

However, in the interest of saving time, I have a question.

If one has already did, with the IBM CD's, a LIC install only, and has 
already added all the disk drives, then, do you see it as a problem to, 
instead of using 
2. Install Licensed Internal Code and Initialize System
one uses
1. Restore Licensed Internal Code
?

They are both running V5R3.

That reinitializing the disk drives seems like such a waste of time.
