Power restoration, the HMC and the i5

I am in the process of researching a course on LPAR (which means I'm at
the point where I believe only half of what I say.) However, I did come
across a reference in the V5R3 LPAR guide concerning QPWRRSTIPL.

This system value, like QRMTIPL, is ignored in all OS/400 partitions
running on an i5. Instead, it can must be set for the server a whole
using the service processor's Advanced System Management (ASM) interface.

Now all I need to do is figure out what the ASM is. The new LPAR redbook
has left this chapter blank for now.
