I have (in the past) printed for management, the Supported Ascii Printers from the IBM web site, highlighting the more standard printers, and telling them that printers not listed may not work with the iSeries, and it may cost them more money than is being saved, trying to make it work. I have made it clear to them that this is not a shortcoming of the iSeries or IBM, but that these "other" printers are usually built only for the Windows market. I have never had an arguement from management. They get it. If you are dealing with a large multi-site operation, get this to upper management to mandate to the remote sites. jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike" <mshaw2456@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion'" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, August 19, 2004 1:26 PM Subject: RE: Help!
