Ah, here's the link I was looking for:

But the info in the Redbook Scott provided a link to is more current and
includes the new i5 boxes.

In short, all processors since and including the SStars have been able to
share CPUs across partitions.

Only the old IStar processors required a full CPU to be given to Linux (
though they could do shared OS/400 partitions)
