Booth: When we discussed, you didn't clarify whether the environment you're in allows TCP/IP or not; just enough info went back and forth to get you started easily. In order to develop the next level, is this possible: strpccmd pccmd(telnet my.as400.ip.addr) pause(*no) If telnet works, you can start the coding for detecting the device on the AS/400 side -- you can get the remote location of the current session easily enough. And you'll have a second session to test secondary displays, though they won't be pretty and there'll be some limitations. Otherwise: strpccmd pccmd(pcsws.exe /o) pause(*no) ...also "works", but the lack of a .WS is an irritation for sure. Perhaps a default .WS could be downloaded first. Perhaps even a mapped drive reference back to one in the IFS? I'd swear I recalled more external control via switches on PCSWS.EXE years ago, but I sure can't find any references now. Maybe I was misremembering some EHLLAPI stuff. Tom Liotta midrange-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > 9.
