The drives are the same capacity, so this is an option, and was my
recommendation, but others want to get it done at one time.

does the system think they are the same drives?

If yes, then why not replace them one, perhaps one a day, allowing the
system to do the work for you?  There is a risk, but I would wager no
less than other methods.
