If you are using CL to run the query then use OVRPRTF FILE(OPQUPRFIL)
OUTQ(&OUTQ) where &OUTQ is the outq attached to the printer you want.

Perhaps the job description is overriding or changing the printer or outq.

I do use OVRPRTF to change the outq to the users default in my application.

Subject: Define Printer in Query

Hello,

when we define a printer in a query, and then submit the query to batch,
the output goes to PRT01 (system printer) and not the
defined printer.

Any workaround?

Regards,

Oliver
