I think you're behind the times.  You can use any number of ERD packages to
define your schema, export it to the iSeries as SQL scripts and run the
scripts to create it on the iSeries.  Thus, there is simply nothing more for
IBM to do.  They are not going to add this to DDS, since the rest of the
world is using SQL.

Microsoft was only mentioned in the context of a cheap tool to use in place
of an full-blown ERD package just to use to create/view the ERD diagram.

I'd go with Visio myself if only for the ability to export the SQL scripts
required to create the schema.
