The original 5250 package marketed by Netsoft was written by Synapse Communications in Columbia, MO (www.synapse.com). It included display, printer, and file transfer. Synapse has kept updating their product and its current incarnation is called IPCLIENT. A free trial download that times out is available from their website. The file transfer component includes an SQL front end and will do single and batch transfers. I have used and sold products built by Synapse for over twenty years. Their 5250 products have been licensed over time by Emerald Technology (remember them?), DCA, Netsoft, Attachmate, Blue Lynx, Connectronnix, and others. Their products are reasonably priced and they do not charge for tech support or on-line updates.
