Anyone using the .NET provider at all?

OK, no one responded to the question about direct program calls w/the
.NET provider, I'm wondering if anyone is using the .NET provider at
all? 

Any experiences (good or bad)? And how's the speed vs. OLE/DB,
especially from a .NET app?
