I am having trouble running the LPAR VT that I just downloaded from the IBM
website. I applied the patch that was on the web page as well.

I am running Windows 2K 5.00.2195 SP3.

I also loaded the latest Sun Java JRE and no go so I removed it as there appears
to be an IBM JRE that comes with the install.

The mouse clicks are choppy and the gui leaves patches of old windows on
the screen. When I click on File the new has a little box over it and it
will not select so I can't go further. It appears to have trouble writing to
the screen.

IBM's response is:

As long as you installed the LVT Base and then the LVT Update in the
same directory things should work correctly. We are now using IBMs JRE
1.4.1. How much RAM do you have within your system and also what is your
processor speed? Were you running any large applications at the time? The
LVT doesn't take up much memory but the characteristics of your problem
sound like a memory problem.

For LVT problems or questions concerning the LVT send all responses/request
to rchlvt@xxxxxxxxxx . Please include screen shots and / or the .xml
file if possible, as it will help our understanding of the problem and our
ability to re-create the problem.

My response to that is:

I installed the LVT Base and LVT update in the same directory. I installed the
latest Sun Java JRE and still have the same problems. I removed the Sun Java
JRE and still have the same problems.

It appears to have a hard time writing to the screen. Memory usage is around 3%
so that's not an issue. I get the same results with no other apps running on a
clean boot. The application is so sluggish that it is unusable. Very odd.
