Are you using SBMJOB CMD(&cmdstring) or SBMJOB RQSDTA(&cmdstring)? I'd bet it's the former. If so, change to using RQSDTA() which is where programs ought to be passing submitted command strings. Alternatively, if you're submitting a CALL command, then create a *CMD object to prototype the CALL and submit the *CMD instead; the CMD() parm of SBMJOB should be used when you have a *CMD to put in there.
