Jerry, Here we have next to the computer a "box" with daily "changed only objects" that go back 4 weeks, then rotate. It is policy in an emergency to grab the box, or risk having your legs and arms amputated (well, ok, just slapped up side the head ;) We then do full back up each Friday night, those go off site. They come back in after they have been out for two months for rotation. We also keep "forever" year-end back ups, two sets, one on-site, and one off-site. Has worked well in our situation. We are not using a service to place these, the VP is keeping them at his residence. It costs us $300 to retrieve a tape and takes 2 hours. So.... Are others sending tapes off immediately or waiting a day or so?
