There are many options out there, some free, some for a fee.
Here is the simplest/cheapest thing you can do...
Do the print method, make sure it stays "on-hold". Now do a cpysplf to a database file, now do a cpytopcd. Now you can get to this document in the folder of the AS/400.
There are slick packages out there that will even e-mail this, or make the print out a PDF, some are free, some cost.
It depends on what you are willing to do (even the snddst - could send the text doc from the folder for you.)
C/L set-up is simple.
As for best way, whatever your budget and time constraints can afford is the best way.
