Does the SQL create index statement have a function similar to the DDS keyword ALTSEQ? I have an SQL index that is over a mixed case description and I would like to have the corresponding upper and lower case words sorted together. My SQL statement is:
create index Assets.Assetsl03 on Assets.Assets( asassetdes, aspurchdt, asassetid );
Is there anything I can do in SQL to accomplish the same thing? The application is an RPGLE program that reads the file to fill a subfile a page at a time. I am not using SQL in the RPGLE program. Do I have to create a DDS based logical file to accomplish the results I am looking for?
Thanks for any suggestions.
