Be careful with caps. The big ones will retain enough energy to, at a
minimum get your attention, and in the worse case, KILL YOU DEAD! ! ! It's
best to discharge them before working on them.

Just found out that we've had several netstations and PC's fry.  IBM and
otherwise.  Turns out this one particular type of capacitor is bad.  It's
gotten to the point, (since a lot of this equipment is off warranty) that
we are soldering on our own replacement capacitors now.  The capacitor is
a blue thing, about the size of some digital camera batteries.  You may
notice some bulging at the top or some warping at the bottom.  The bad
ones seem to have an 'x' on the top.  I believe the Q, K or Y are ok.
