Ran your command verbatim and that file still doesn't have it. Makes me
wonder if the API would work even. Every 8 weeks I do a
CHGSYSDIRA ALWSCH(*NO)
CHGSYSDIRA ALWSCH(*YES)
to rebuild the search indexes.
WRKDIRE
F10=Search directory
works great. And when it finds me I can do:
5=Display directory entry details
F19=Display name for SMTP
and the information is there.

I did a WRKQRY over
Seq   Field             Text
   1  DFUSRP            User Profile
   2  DFSUID            SMTP user ID
   3 DFSDR SMTP domain or route
selecting DFSUID            NE     ' '
No records in query report.

Re: Retrieving a directory entry

I do a daily job to rebuild our telephone/email lists from the directory
entries using the DSPDIRE command and it does indeed include the smtp
name.

DSPDIRE OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(QTEMP/DSPDIRE) DETAIL(*FULL)
OUTFILFMT(*TYPE2)
