I try to keep up with tips posted on the sites, but this weekend, after a
very mild electricity hit, my NT server lost the power supply. This caused
all of my internal shares to be deleted which is a significant hassle to
rebuild. Have to love Microsoft, though. They are the innovators in the
industry.
I only have one sales pitch when talking OS/400 versus M$ products, Oracle,
Sybase or any of the others. Why would you buy a product that comes standard
with a "Rebuild database" utility? Wouldn't that tell you something about
the product?
Not in this country. We still have daylight savings time.

PS: Just as a note, almost 20% of the software I've written to connect
OS/400 to MSSQL is error trapping for invalid transactions, invalid returned
data and changing formats (in the same release). Sure, it's wonderful
software.

Thank you, John. Im(ns...;-)ho: Sure the info's available (and go out on
limb and would "guess" Phil's done these things), but the point of
broadcasting to entire world, and recommending the practice for EVERYbody
is...?!???!?

Dunno if Leif feels same way or not.
