Dave, Somebody maybe already mentioned this, but if that was a true example you gave, uh, you should ask for another translation. "Ha estado enfermo" does not carry an accent. "¿Ha visto ángeles?" does. But at least you're not using a computerized automatic translation program! They give me laugh riots! (And a few B-movie subtitles!) And make sure you get the tilde over the "ñ", because when you ask them how old they are, in Spanish if you don't have that tilde then you're asking them how many rear orifices they have! - Alan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Boettcher" <DBoettch@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx>; <rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx>; <RPGIV@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 16, 2004 10:49 AM Subject: Spanish characters in AFP We have a form that our Health deparmtent translator has put into Spanish. We have entered the Spanish tranlsation into AFP for an overlay used by the RPG IV program. There is no problem printing most of the form. However, we cannot find some accented characters in a font that AFP will print. (Ex: Há estado enfermo) We tried pasting the characters from Word into AFP. They show up on the screen but still don't print on our Lexmark printer. Does anyone have any ideas of a font in AFP that would print Spanish language specific characters?
