I "opine" that it is better to do the automatic sign-off, more so if a night-job will be abended. A record partially updated for this reason in my view should be treated as any other "mistake" in the users' data entry, such as a typo'd item number, customer number, etc. In fact, that's exactly what it is. - Alan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Berman" <mikeba777@xxxxxxxxx> To: <Midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 23, 2004 12:32 PM Subject: Auto signoff | What if any are the argumens against having an automatic systems value signoff. I heard an opinion expressed that it could lead to a problem of a record partially updated. The other side of the problem, is that we had a user not sign off at the end of the day and was in fact holding a record, this caused the night jobs to abend. | | | | Do you Yahoo!? | Yahoo!
