The question should really have been put to rpg-L@xxxxxxxxxxxxx If the value of "pos" at the first execution of the "dow" comparison, you will get an array index error. For a group of "and"ed clauses, the first comparison is checked first. If "pos" is at zero when this loop begins, it will not execute even once.
